I used to work in education with disadvantaged students and loved it! I also published published a book and contributed to another. In 1994 I got ill with severe stomach ailments and chronic severe migraines. I was told by a doctor that I was going to die. Consequently, I was forced to retire from my career; and to go onto permanent disability. Life has been difficult! Aside from the daily discomfort of my ailments, there is the problem of money and transportation. I need to be able to get to doctor's visits and to grocery shop but it is difficult with no car. This is made more difficult by the fact that I now have a very bad back and a bad foot, so walking is painful! I also have a 17 year-old daughter that would like to enter college next year to reach her full potential and assure a bright future for herself.
I need help! I'd like to be able to afford a decent used car to be able to make doctor's visits, pickup groceries, and get my daughter to where she needs to be. Also, with a car, she would be able to drive me when necessary. Money for a decent used car and for some expenses would be greatly appreciated.
