Wilfredo Lao Fund
Donation protected
My brother Wil was one of 4 victims of a shooting on January 19, 2019 in our hometown. His first surgery lasted 10 hours and was performed with 3 trauma surgeons. At one point he flatlined and it took 15 minutes to get him back. He has multiple abdominal injuries including damage to his liver, pancreas, colon, diaphragm and he is still fighting for his life in ICU.
Wil is a father to 3 sons. He looks kinda scary, but he is the friendliest guy you’ll ever know (as long as you don’t mess with those he loves). He has the biggest heart and is everybody’s protector. He loves motorcycles and food—but most of all, he loves people.
Wil will not be able to return to work for a long time, as his recovery will require years of surgeries, rehab and treatment to overcome the extent of his injuries. As his big sister, I’ll be managing this fund and every cent will be used for him—towards his monthly bills and for savings that he can then use when he’s able to come home.
It’s so amazing to see so many people calling, texting, visiting and offering their support. Myself and our family are overwhelmed by the number of people who love him as much as we do. Thank you so much!
