Winston-Salem Wolfhounds

The Winston-Salem Wolfhounds is a local Gaelic (Irish) Football club which helps promote traditional Irish sports and culture in the Winston Salem community. The club – which achieved Non-Profit Status in March of 2015 – was officially founded in January 2015 but began it’s journey in January 2014.

The inaugural game for the club was against Raleigh Cú Chulainn at the Poteat Field (Wake Forest University) in Winston-Salem, NC on April 27th 2014.

The club is a junior level team competing in Gaelic Football and Hurling in the South East Division of the North American County Board (NACB) of the Gaelic Athletic Association (GAA).

The goal of the club is to promote teamwork, a sense of community, Irish cultural understanding and fitness. The club is a community based club and is open to people of all ages, genders and fitness levels.

We are looking to raise money to help the club travel to the North American GAA finals this year (2016) in Seattle, Washington. This is a huge expense for the club and we are hoping our Winston-Salem community and beyond can help us achieve our goal.

These funds will also help the club in other ways, for example:

- the purchase of equipment for the team
- paying for field rentals
- paying for competition entry fees
- paying for marketing

All of these are essential to help us run our club efficiently & effectively and to constantly development and improve our players.
