Winter Sessions: a dance endeavor
Donation protected
In the heart of keeping my artistic endeavors active and free to view, I'm open to taking donation based gifts to fund the projects and people involved.
I have a lot of research and bodies of things to get through for dance, movement, video and photography. My areas including
Camera angles, depth of field, framing, focus
Film editing and composition
Dance creation, framing, architecture and aesthetics
Audience interest, patronage, reachability
Funding this project would support those involved so they can do their jobs without making it an "act of love"
My major goal along with all of those is to see a way in which film and video can be utilized as a way for choreographers to reach their audiences while still keeping the value of their work- audiences have conflicts to attending performances from temporal and spatial stand points. For some reason a performance piece and a film piece can’t seem to exist simultaneously. I want dance and Film to work more cohesively and effectively
The films will be a culmination on what happens after each studio session, which the guidelines are: invite people to a place for a specific length of time and make something. The films themselves will vary stylistically, durationally, and probably, yeah, quality will change. The movement will be mundane sometimes, sometimes not as put together, sometimes the focus will be a bit off, but that’s all okay for research.
