Working class fringe brochure

Here's a list of where we are now (25th March)

Had offers from 4 different people to help with design as well as help with fundrasing and PR.

One offer to design an app and website.

We'll be able to buy a bigger brochure than anticipated and more copies of it.  We've also had people volunteer to distribute it.

Theweereview have offered a free advert for the full run if we hit £1000.

We have also been offered free posters and outdoor banners.  

2 gigs have offered to donate the takings from a show to the fund.

First off, NONE OF THIS IS TO FUND MY FRINGE SHOW.

Okay, so, I (And a lot of other acts) have been kicking up fuss about how much harder it is to do the Edinburgh fringe when you are from a working class background and are poor.

That's just how it is though, that probably won't change.  I have an idea that may help in some small ways for those who just can't possibly afford the expensive PR and billboards and such.

I want to raise money to make a brochure highlighting working class comedy shows at the fringe.  

I know it's a vague term, so we will be asking comedians to define themselves as such to get in the brochure and there'll be absolutely no charge to them.  We will be doing a bit of research to check they don't live in a castle or something.

2000 a5 16 page booklets are around £300, plus design, this will take us upto £500.  However, we'd ideally like to raise as much as possible so we can either make the brochure bigger to spotlight more shows or to print more copies.

Ideally we'd like to raise enough for flyerers too but, if not, we'll distribute it ourselves.

I mean, if it all goes mad we could get billboards I suppose...
