Aubrey's Kidney Failure Fight
Aubrey is an 8 year old little girl who is very brave and has been through a lot in her young life.
When Aubrey was 5 she was diagnosed with Chiari Malformation, Tethered Spinal Cord and neurogenic bladder and bowel.
She has gone through brain surgery, spine surgery, bowel surgery and recently went through bladder surgery to place a tube in her bladder as shes retaining urine.
At a recent doctor's visit up to NYC to see Aubrey's urologist we found out Aubrey is having grade 3 reflux into her kidneys and that this will require another major surgery called a Mitronoff and bladder augmentation.
We are required to stay in NYC for this surgery for up to 3 months for surgery, hospital stay and after hospital stay recovery.
You might be asking yourself why we cant find a doctor near us but Aubrey's condition has forced us to go out of state for treatment.
With this long stay in NYC will come major medical costs and housing costs.
We are asking for any help we can get financially to help us pay for this trip so Aubrey's kidneys dont go into failure which would be a death sentence for her due to her bladder would attack her transplanted kidneys and cause them to fail as well.
Please help Aubrey live a long happy life and help us afford to bring her to the specialist to get this surgery done.
Thank you!
