Early this morning on October 26th, two friends of mine were awoken by a fire engulfing their off campus house on Delafield Street in New Brunswick, NJ. After calling 911, waking up their house mates, and getting out there wasn’t much time for them to grab anything.
Although everyone in the house is okay, much of their things are beyond salvageable, and currently my friends don’t have a place to stay in New Brunswick.
As many students can understand, the hardest part of this isn't the initial scare; its continuing with school and life as if nothing was wrong. Without books, computers, clothes or a place to stay at school, my friends face many obstacles besides the usual class and work that we all complain about.
Any donation is welcomed, and I thank you very much for supporting them.
