The "We Want to Play UW Hockey"fund

Ian Johnson and I, Sam Mallory, are working to continue our hockey careers here at the University of Wyoming.
With recent fiscal issues the state, as well as University, are facing budget cuts that are similarly hurting the men's club ice hockey program. Ian and I are working to raise money to both support and continue playing for the program. This is a large amount of money to ask for but we would like you to know that every single dollar helps us to continue to skate for the University of Wyoming and that we are looking for numerous venues to help raise money!
Ian Johnson is a sophomore electrical engineering student that has played hockey for 19 years. Ian has played numerous levels including junior hockey with the Cheyenne Stampede and Missoula Maulers, as well as ACHA division 1 hockey with the University of Central Oklahoma prior to his degree pursuit here at the University of Wyoming. Ian is a committed member of the University's program and works as an officer to facilitate the business operations of the club, an on ice leader to develop his teammates abilities, and as a community member to grow hockey in southeast Wyoming.
I am a junior student of energy resource management and developement with a concentration in professional land management, a minor in geology, and a minor in the honors program. I have been playing hockey for 16 years and met Ian playing with the Cheyenne Stampede. I similarily hold a role as an officer in the club and work to market and advertise our program to the local community and prospective teammates. It is my goal to see this program become financially independent and strong so that the University of Wyoming can continue its respectable name in college hockey and claim another national title.
Ian and I will thank you by doing our best to make this program succeed both on and off the ice as a successful program and leader in the hockey community. We cannot thank you enough for the donations you make but will do our best to bring pride to the Brown and Gold logo we wear!
