What Exactly Is My Dream?
Well, to be frank about it, I want to eventually, one day, own and operate my very own radio station! I have been doing Internet Radio for about 4 years now and have even had times where I worked in FM radio. Had my own show at one point as well!
The reason I am trying to raise money for my current ventures with this dream is because I want to be able to offer something to people that they can actually feel like they are a part of. My dream career is to work in Radio. FM AM Internet or whatever. Every platform has its own pros and cons. I just feel like there are many more pros than there are cons!
The one con I have a problem with, however, is finances. I have been unemployed and unsuccessful in finding work that fits along with my career choice.
Who Am I?
Well, my name is Emmett. Not much more to it than that! I kid, I kid. Yes, my real name is Emmett, though, most everyone who has met me that has been around for my radio stuff knows me by a different name though. They all know me as Shiloh. DJ Shiloh, at that.
Why the persona? Well, why not? I feel as though I get to be a completely different person when I am on the air. I feel like people have more fun with this persona, therefor, it has stuck around.
I could go on for days about myself, however, I do believe I will be sparing most folks and not trying to blab about every little detail.
How Will Your Donation Be Used?
Well, the way I plan to use the money is quite simple. The subscription services I plan to use (ranging from Caster.FM to websites that provide Audio Imaging solutions) during my shows cost money. Money I do not have. Most of these subscription costs are not cheap. Audio Imaging is the main base here as it provides me with brand new content. Music, advertisements, etc.. etc.. Another subscription cost is to keep my automation software up to date.
Other than any subscription services, I only have one other means of using these funds. That is simplest of all. MUSIC! The thing that allows me to do what I do! I mean, I have the voice and the equipment but, without the music, I would be a little more than screwed.
Why It Means So Much To Me?
Really and truly, this is my livelihood. My bread and butter, as it were. This is the only career choice that has stuck with me for years now. Most of my previous work (Sales, Military, Front Desk Work, etc..) has been unfruitful in me feeling as though I am good at what I do or even belong in the field I am in. I do well but, I always feel like I am doing horribly.
Radio has been the one thing I have done for years! I love everything about it. From the wavelengths and signal types, all the way down to the microphone placement in front of my mouth. Radio is just that thing that makes me tick.
I wish I could explain how much this means to me and how thankful someone like me could be for the help anyone can provide but, words are meaningless unless the action is put behind them.
