Ruthie's Medical Expenses

A concerned citizen found Ruthie laying in the grass, clearly tired, dehydrated, malnurished and near death.  The citizen picked Ruthie up, brought her to the Glendale Police Department and asked for our help.  We took her in, gave her food, water and some much needed attention.  Ruthie excitedly drank the water and gobbled down two bowls of food.  We posted pictures of her on social media in an attempt to locate the owners, but were unsuccessful in finding them.  What did happen, was that the pictures of Ruthie went viral.  There was an amazing response to the post which reached over 100,000 people, many of which were offering to fund Ruthie's medical needs or even adopt her.  Currently, Ruthie is at a care facility where they are estimating that she will need approximately $5000 to cover the wide aray of medical expenses that she so desperately needs. 

Ruthie has touched thousands of hearts, including specifically the Officer that tended to her that morning.  We are hoping that she improves to the point where that Officer can adopt her and give her the loving home she so very much deserves!
