Julie's Incredibly Rare Journey

Donation protected

We have a story to tell and wanted to try and make it short and sweet but there is no way to shorten this battle and nothing sweet about it

So bear with us and please read on.

It started in Septmeber 2006 when Julie was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer. She received 16 weeks of Chemo and 39 Radiation treatments and was a trooper. We thought the battle was over. Then in October 2013 we got the news that Julie now had a very rare cancer caused by her previous radiation. She was diagnosed with Radiation Induced AngioSarcoma and for that she made several trips back and forth to Houston for her specialist at MD Anderson Cancer Hospital.

The treatment this time was harsh including week long stays in the hospital. During this battle she lost both her breasts and her job. She fought hard and with grace and still worried about how everyone else was dealing with her battle. But that's our Julie.

In January 2015 she was given the all clear and we were all grateful and ready to put all this behind us.

Unfortunately, yes there is more.

At the end of 2015 we received the news that the Radiation Induced AngioSarcoma was back...yes for the 2nd time in a 3 year span. Now begins another battle with more doctors bills and expenses and we are not sure yet if she will be able to continue working.

Let this be the time we all come together to give back and help Julie. She is the one who has the hard road to travel. As we sit by her side, walking hand in hand with her, she is the one having to endure the side effects and medical bills of weeks and weeks of chemo, doctors appointments, and tests. As the New Year begins this is a great time to pay it forward. Pay it forward to someone who would never ask for anything but deserves everything. As Julie’s support we have no shame in asking each and every one of you who have met Julie (or have never met her) to give back and give that helping hand. No donation is too small.

Thank you in advance for your help and support.
