Kelly & Riley Lanza

My good friend Kelly Lanza lost her husband Joe suddenly & unexpectedly on Fri., Nov. 13, 2015 in Clarksburg, WV. Kelly & her beautiful 8-year old daughter Riley are devastated, as are all family, friends, & acquaintances, by this tragic loss. Joe was an amazingly kind & generous man. He loved his family more than anything in this world and they loved him as much.

They are residents of Clarksburg, WV. Joe worked for Harry Green & Kelly works for the City Manager at The City of Clarksburg. She's an active member of "Gorilla Fitness", and well known member of our community. They're active members of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Clarksburg. Their daughter Riley attends St. Mary's Catholic School and has been a key member of her All-Star Cheer Team at Champs Central in Clarksburg for several years. She also excelled at a new passion, Swim Team this past summer. She attends Vacation Bible School every summer & participates in other Summer Camps/Programs as well. They're always generous in contributing to fundraising efforts as presented by St. Mary's to raise money and gather needed items for those less fortunate, typically for the local Mission & local Food Pantry/Mustard Seed. Riley has also received her First Holy Communion & recently served her first day as an Altar Server at our Catholic Church.

I've set up this GoFundMe Page in an effort to raise money for Kelly & Riley during this time of need. They are so active in their church & community, and this beautiful 8-year old is so active and involved in so many positive, healthy activities, including her being a student of our Catholic school.

I ask that everyone who sees this GoFundMe page please, please help Kelly & Riley by donating. Kelly is faced with a tremendous load of unexpected expenses, as there was no insurance to cover the cost of a funeral at this time.

If everyone who reads this will donate even $10 or $20, we as a team can help Kelly tremendously to offset the cost of these funeral expenses as well as help provide for this family as they grieve and try to somehow adjust. In addition to being responsible for the funeral expenses, Kelly is faced with household costs & looming winter utility bills that are coming as the cold season is upon us in Clarksburg. I believe wholeheartedly, that we as friends, family, acquaintances, fellow Church members, fellow Catholic School parents, fellow Cheer families, and strangers alike can make all the difference in the world for Kelly & Riley as they do their best to cope & adjust. Raising enough money to cover funeral & other unanticipated expenses will at least give Kelly some breathing room & peace of mind where finances are concerned.
