Debra's Dental Health Fund
Donation protected
Hello I am starting this campaign for my mom, Debra Buckley. She is in drastic need of very extensive dental surgery that my family and I can't afford to fund at the moment. Us as a family have been doing everything we possibly can for years to try and help get this serious health issue taken care of for her, but no luck so far and her time is getting thinner.
Her story:
When she was 18 years old, she was driving to her friends house and was hit by a drunk driver, causing her face to go through the windsheild of her car. After she recovered, her doctor told her that she had numerous damaged nerves that were in connection with her teeth and there was no way to repair them. in 2004 she suffered a severe heart attack and I almost lost her. In the process of all this, she has lost her career and has since been forced to get on disability. Also since 2004 she has been on various medications that has made her very ill, has caused her hair to fall out, and the enamel of her teeth to weaken. The infection in her mouth from her teeth have gotten so bad to the point that her heart doctors told her if she doesn't get this issue taken care of soon, she could die.
A huge issue for her (aside from the financial part of things) has been finding a doctor that would even consider doing work on a heart patient considering all the risk factors involved. our family and her have contacted just about every oral sergeon under the sun and not a single soul would help her. After all this time we've finally found a company called Clear Choice that have agreed to try and do everything they can to get this taken care of for her. The only issue now is getting the funds together for her procedure. The quote from Clear Choice was $48,000 after everything is all said and done. This is where I hope we can reach someone that can understand and help my mom.
I wouldn't know what to do if I lost my mom and this has had all of us worried for a very long time. She has been very depressed about her situation these past five years or so and has been feeling unattractive and is constantly worried about dying because of this. I would give anything to see her happy again and to not have to worry about things like this. No one should have to ever go through the things she has or feel the way she's been feeling.
Now that we've found this wonderful company that has agreed to help her, I'm hoping this can be a step in the right direction for her to get her career, health and confidence back. Anything helps, and everything will be greatly appreciated by our whole family.
Thank you all.
