My name is Jimi and I am lifelong friend of Irina.

Irina sarishvili is well known political and public figure, in former soviet republic of Georgia. She was a wife of Georgia' s national hero Giorgi Chanturia. Her political career and public life spans more then three decades. She was one of the leader of Georgia's early dissident national independence movement against communist regime. She was imprisoned and oppressed many times during her life. On December 3, 1994 Giorgi Chanturia and Irina Sarishvili were shot by gunmen. Giorgi died, while Irina was severely wounded. She still carries a bullet (inoperable) stack near her heart.The terrorists succeeded in escaping, nobody was arrested on charges of assassination.
After this terrorist attack she became leader of the National Democratic Party, previously chaired by her slain husband and remained in active politics well into early 2000's . Currently she does not hold any governmental or political positions, but remains outspoken public activist on ongoing social or political issues. In 90's in a span of the decade, she adopted three boys and just recently she adopted three special needs kids, two girls and a boy. All three have Down's syndrome. In a recent TV interview, she said , that she tries to raise these special kids as publicly as possible, just to show public, that they are normal, regular and better humans, who deserve equal chance, love and care and to raise awareness against social cliches still dominating Georgian society about special needs people.
Irina with her children lives in Tbilisi, Georgia, in a small rental apartment, with limited financial resources, pension she gets as a former MP is very small, around 200$. Government subsidies for the special needs kids will stop after adoption is complete, so her chance to have her own apartment or house is nonexistent, and rent is draining her already limited financial resources.

Me and few of her friends, had an idea to start this public campaign to raise funds in order to at minimum have enough to make downpayment for an apartment, or , if campaign is successful, buy a flat or small house for this wonderful, kind and special family.

ამ კამპანიის დაწყება არ ყოფილა იოლი გადაწყვეტილება. განსაკუთრებული წინააღმდეგობა ამ იდეას თვითონ ირინასგან შეხვდა, მაგრამ სხვა გზა და გამოსავალი აღარ რჩება. არც ბიოგრაფიული დეტალებით შეგაწყენთ თავს და არც სოციალური მდგომარეობაზე დავწრილმანდებით. ბოლო 30 წელია ეს ადამიანი ჩვენ თვალწინ ცხოვრობს და რა პოლიტიკური შეფასებაც არ უნდა გავაკეთოთ, ერთი რამ ცხადია, რომ ამ ქალს, ბევრ ჩვენთანგანზე მეტი აქვს გაღებული ამ ქვეყნისთვის.
ფაქტი ერთია, რომ შვიდ სულიანი ოჯახი, მათ შორის სამი, უნარ შეზღუდული ბავშვი, ნაქირავებ, პატარა ბინაში ცხოვრობს, რომლის შენახვაც, ფინანსურ სტრესად აწვება ისედაც ხელმოკლე ოჯახს.
მის მეგობრების წრეში გაჩნდა ამ კამპანიის იდეა, რომ დაგვეწყო ამ გზით ფონდების მოძიება, რათა შეგროვდეს ან იმდენი თანხა რომ პირველად შესატან რაოდენობას ეყოს, ან წარმატებული კამპანიის შემთხვევაში, ბინის ან თუნდაც კერძო სახლის, სადმე თბილისთან ახლოს შეძენა მოხერხედეს.
