Lebanon Refugee Distribution

Donation protected
I am Scott Haakenson, the pastor of two churches in Beirut, Lebanon.  Our Seventh-day Adventist churches have been helping refugees of all beliefs for the past year.
I think everyone is aware of the refugee crisis in the Middle East. We have about 1.4 million refugees from Syrian and Iraq living here in Lebanon. It would be like half the people in Iowa fleeing to Missouri, most of them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. Image what that need would be like. I have visited with some of them in their small apartments. They have told me of there escapes from ISIS. They are not legally allowed to work. They are people of courage and people in great need. Last Saturday we distributed food and clothes to 100 Syrian refugees. A month ago we distributed food to 200 Iraqi refugees. Now we are faced with requests from 800 refugees all registered with the U.N. Each food box costs around $30. We want to help these families before Christmas but need donations to buy the food.  If you are in Lebanon, you can give to your local church in an envelope marked "refugee distribution".   If you are outside of Lebanon, you can donate on this site.  It is linked to the Adventist Development and Relief Agency account for the Middle East and North Africa territory.  Please give something right away if you can.  Thank you.
