Musical Instruments For Kids

Hi Everyone! We are the IGC Corp., an organization, dedicated to the academic advancement of children with limited educational resources.

In recent years, largely due to budgetary issues, we have witnessed a steady decline in the number of classes and programs that provide students with an education in music and the arts. The lack of adequate funding to pay for music teachers and instruments, leaves students with diminished resources and routinely deprives them of a complete and well-rounded education.
 
Studies show that students that are enrolled in a creative arts curriculum benefit not only musically but academically and socially as well.  One of our primary goals at IGC Corp. is to identify areas that we can assist in providing resources to help level the playing field for students in under resourced schools within the New York City area. 

As such, we are appealing to you to help us in raising money to provide instruments to students in schools that would otherwise be deprived of the opportunity to further enrich their education.

Our inaugural goal is to raise a minimum of $5000.00 by October 22, 2018. We will then provide the grant to our former school so that it can be used to purchase musical instruments and supplies. The grant will be awarded to our former school at a special event to be held at the school on October 26th, 2018. We will also have a 50th Anniversary Reunion and Celebration at the Hamilton Grange Middle School, 500 west 138th Street NY NY 10031 from 12:00 - 1:30 PM.  We will honor the  class of 1968 and the fourth grade teacher, Miss Linda Friedman. The gifted and talented program will have performances from the students.  Come out and support education!!

This is the first of many efforts to come. Any funds raised exceeding $5000.00 will go towards another effort to assist another school in need. Also the expenses of the 50th Anniversary Reunion on Oct 26, 2018. WE NEED YOUR HELP! Please donate whatever amount you can to assist us in reaching our goal.
