Support for Sasser Family

Summer of 2014 Kenny was diagnosed with HPV throat cancer. He went through 10 weeks of chemo and 35 rounds of radiation. He then had a pet scan done in February and was told all was clear. Cancer was gone. Kenny then went to doctors on a monthly basis for check ups. He went to doctor on June 17th and the doctor found a knot had came back up. So his doctors set up a CT Scan which confirmed that the knot was the cancer that had come back. Kenny then went to doctors at Emery hospital for consultation and they will go for PET scan next week. If cancer has not spread then they will do surgery to remove the cancer. This will consist of 12-14 hour surgery, they will remove part of Kenny's jaw bone and part of his tongue in hopes they can remove all cancer. He will then have to be in hospital for at least 2 weeks and be out of work for 3 months. Kenny and his wife Tammie have 4 boys and are putting their trust in God to get them through this time.
