Werribee group

Werribee clinic  is a self help support group that' has been set up and established to offer guidance and support to Aboriginal families in the sydney region that are at risk of  losing their child/ children to Docs also known as Facs . Werribee is part of Grandmothers Against removals Sydney branch . Werribee solely functions on donations and is manned by volunteers .  A bus will benefit the group by providing reliable transport to attend to the business on a daily basis  and  to  ensure  that our volunteer staff can also visit families in rural areas  who are isolated and have no support . Werribee does phone consultations however acknowledges the importance of face to face consultations and that is the groups preferred methods of practice. Another important aspect is to ensure that the volunteer staff can attend other functions / activities when the need arises, such as meetings appointments courts  and rally's . The overall aim is to build on what we already have . With the continued increase of the escalating numbers of Aboriginal children going into out of home care this work must continue . This can only occur with your support by donating generously . So please dig deep and help our group help all those families who are suffering are in pain and traumatised.
