Marvin's Kidney Transplant
Marvin suffers from End Stage Renal Disease (Stage 5 Kidney Failure) due his condition FSGS: Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. He is currently doing Peritoneal Dialysis at home home while awaiting a Kidney Transplant. The road has not been an easy one for Marvin as he has suffered with several life threatening infections, and most recently was hospitalized for Mallory Weiss Syndrome, tears in his Esophagus that caused him to lose a lot of blood and stay in the Hospital for a week. He contends with several other health issues such as Hypertension, Acid Reflux, Low Energy, Sleeplessness, Anemia, and the list goes on. But Marvin suffers quietly, he rarely complains about all the blood draws, tests, clinic visits, doctor appointments, scans/tests, catheters, having to be hooked up to the dialysis machine 12-14 hours a day, all the pills he has to take just so he can eat a meal, as well as all the other things that go with having Stage 5 Kidney Failure. Instead he makes the most of his life by helping his Mother care for his little sister, going to College, working as much as he can, working on his Artwork, Cooking for his family and friends, volunteering in his community and giving back to others whenever he can. He is an amazing person, who right now needs help securing the funds for him to pay for his Transplant and the long term, expensive care, that comes after it. He could be hospitalized several weeks after the Transplant, and then he will need to travel twice a week (2 hours away from home) to the Transplant Hospital for check ups, he will need to take Anti-rejection Meds that are very expensive, and he will also have several medical bills to pay for from the surgery, and the doctor visits after the Transplant Surgery. I am asking others to help him financially so that he can peacefully go through the transplant process without the worry and stress of this huge financial burden. This is a good person who deserves a blessing in his time of need. Someone who is always very kind, loving, generous, and supportive of others. Please help in whatever way you can, and please pray for Marvin and his family as they embark on this long journey to his recovery. Thank You and God Bless.
