Youth Basketball Travel to China
The East Bay Soldiers Youth Basketball program is a grassroot, federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit youth sports program that was formed to offer the youth in our community a positive, productive, and supportive athletic and academic experience.
Ten of our East Bay Soldiers players ranging in age from 14-16 years old have been selected to represent our local community with a once in a lifetime opportunity to travel to the ancient province of Liaoning, China to play in goodwill games, as well as, host basketball clinics for local youth in the surrounding area of Haicheng, China. We are excited for our kids to be able to take part in this cultural exchange trip to learn about a different culture, as well as, play and teach the game they love with local youth. Travel costs for our kids to travel in early August 2018 will be expensive, so we are counting on the generous support of our families, friends and community to help us achieve our goals so that our kids will be able to travel and not be denied the opportunity because of travel costs.
It is our belief that providing the youth of our community with a positive outlet for team building and athletic competition helps develop the moral character and fiber of our future leaders by emphasizing the importance of academic excellence and leadership.
The East Bay Soldiers Basketball youth program is a Jr NBA affiliated program that offers a year-round travel club program, as well as, seasonal developmental leagues. Our volunteer coaches are licensed under the USA Basketball Youth Development program. Our teams are comprised of boys and girls between the ages of 9 to 17 years old.
