Create an Opportunity
Poseiden Foundation believes that each individual child and adolescent has his or her own spectrum of abilities. Regardless of their socio-economic background, we as a community foster love and support. Poseiden Foundation teaches the youth that through perseverance, they can conquer any goal they choose to achieve. Poseiden Foundation transmits opportunities of encouragement, through skate and surf clinics, contests, outreach tours and art programs. This encourages the youth to discover and pursue their passions, dreams and goals within their own communities.
Poseiden Foundation's Focus
To Empower the Youth to Actualize their Dreams!
Project Background
With funds received, Poseiden Foundation will outreach 30% more youth this 2015!
How is this possible?
-Poseiden Foundation has developed a Youth Outreach Program that is designed to inspire, empower and motivate the youth to find their niche within themselves. We guide them through collaborative interactions using Poseiden's Dream Achieving Guide and by teaching them the importance of creating a healthy lifestyle. These interactions consist of professionals donating their services and time by having one-on-one engagements with participants. These engagements take place at Meet n' Greets at local schools and skate parks and at Dream developing art workshops.
How Will Funds Be Used?

Youth Outreach Skate Scholarships
Each year Poseiden Foundation gives out 5 Skate Scholarships to youth located domestically and Internationally. We recognize that not every person may not have the resources needed to enter contests or to travel to contest destinations, which are crucial components for their talent to be recognized. This is why we have set up our scholarship program, we feel financial limitations should not be a barrier for youth development and growth.
Our scholarships programs are designed to inspire youth to stay active in what moves and motivates them. Poseiden Foundation collaborates with contests and sponsors to acknowledge athlete’s talents and dedication to their sport. Poseiden Foundation provides a skate scholarship to contest winners, which they can use towards skate equipment, travels costs or personal needs. Poseiden is also big on community giving and believes that youth should understand the importance of "paying it forward" and "giving back" to their communities. We give scholarships to youth and in turn they use that specific scholarship in helping a local charity within their community.
By providing scholarships Poseiden Foundation is able to empower the youth to actualize their dreams allowing them to travel and expand their education through life experiences and art.
How do we allocate our Finances?
Poseiden Foundation believes that in order to experience reality, we need to immerse ourselves in the culture of the places we visit. We work hard to keep the cost of traveling low by staying in hostels or with local families while touring. We eat from farmer markets and street venders. We travel by public transportation whenever we can and each staff member and athlete on tour volunteers his or her time and expertise. We keep our marketing costs low by utilizing Global Outreach, social media and word of mouth. We are grassroots in our beliefs and in order for us to maximize our outreach we are conscious of out economic output. A portion of our fundraising proceeds local Youth Outreach Programs, Educational Excursions, Enrichment Internship Opportunities, Poseiden Foundation Dream Developing Art Program: Boards, Graffiti, and Painters (BGP's), Campus Beautification-Skate Benefits.
Since each tour is unique and has cultural diversity, we take all measures to ensure everyone is safe during our travels. The cost of each tour ranges from $3,200-$7,000 and all funds are raised though donations to our foundation.
