Hi my name is Alyssa. Recently I was accepted to Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA. The only problem is Pepperdine is very expensive and I can use your help!
But lets start with how I got here:
I was born with Cystic Fibrosis, a life-threatening genetic lung disease that causes persistent lung infections and progressively limits the ability to breathe. Every day I wake up to do a 'treatment' to help fight my daily battle with this un-curable disease.

At 6 years old, my parents got a divorce. My mom works very hard everyday to provide for me and give me the best life possible while paying a lot of money due to my health condition.
But life isn't all about whats wrong. Its about whats right!
I graduated high school with a 3.5 GPA, where I made honor roll and also participated in cheer and basketball. I love hanging out with friends, family, and pets. I also participate in my local church and church youth groups.
My family and I are doing everything we can to make this a reality but we can use your help! I've been blessed with a lot of things in my life and this is a dream come true. Not only will I be attending a prestigious college while also keeping my faith close to me as Pepperdine is a devout Christian school. I will be at one of the most beautiful campuses in the world. This is also very important to me because I will be the first person in my family to go to college. After college I wish to become a psychologist. I want to help kids and teenagers through rough times in their lives like divorce. Going to Pepperdine will not only help my career later in life but will also help me pursue an amazing education and have an unforgettable experience that I am sure to never forget.
It is very hard for me to ask for your help as I wish that I did not need to but this is my situation and I am going to try my best to help out my family. Anything Helps! I am so thankful for everything in life and your donation will help me so much.
