Susie's Car Was Totaled
Donation protected
I loved my little Subaru Forester and took really good care of it. But today a large SUV rammed into me, the car went into a spin and I rammed into a concrete underpass. (The guy who hit me took off. No one got his plate number.)
The tow truck driver shook his head and said, "You're lucky you were driving a Subaru. It would have been a lot worse." (See? Just like the commercials! "They lived.")
My beautiful little car, which has given me so many happy memories, is, as it were, a dead parrot. The force of the impact broke the rear axle. It's totaled.
And no, I did not have collision insurance. Poor people can't afford those kinds of frills. There is simply no way in hell I can squeeze a car payment into my tiny budget. (I'm a blogger, not a hedge fund manager.)
So I throw myself on the mercy of the crowd. Please help me replace my wonderful little car. I appreciate anything you can spare.
Thank you.
