Rechelle's Wigs for Kids

Earlier in 2016 I decided I was going to let my hair grow out even longer than it already was and donate it to Wigs for Kids after knowing 2 sorority sisters that did the same. The organization provides wigs to kids up to age 18 who have lost their hair due to a medical condition. They even provide these wigs free of charge with maintenance and styling provided for a whole year!

I absolutely love my long hair, I've never even dyed it! So to say I am a little nervous to be cutting off 12+ inches of my hair may be an understatement. However, I am very excited and reassured to know that a deserving child will be getting a wig made from my hair and I am sure they will appreciate and love it just as much.

Each wig is made from about 20-30 donated ponytails (my donation will only be 4-6 ponytails) and costs $1800 to make and maintain. Which is why I created this fundraiser. I'd like to raise as much money as possible to go along with my hair donation, ideally the full $1800 (I've set the goal higher as GoFundMe takes a few fees for each donation). I plan to donate my hair by Valentine's Day, please help me raise the funds and reach my goal!
