Sonoma Fire Victims

Help fill our trailer with animal supplies for fire victims!

As many of you know, in the early morning hours on Monday fires spread across the Napa Valley, Sonoma County, and Santa Rosa regions of Northern California. Because of 70mph+ winds, the fire spread quickly and aggressively, destroying and devastating over 1,500 structures and 57,000 acres. Many people who fled had only enough time to leave with the clothes on their backs, and many people had to leave behind animals or rush them out of the area.

Charlie’s Acres, our non-profit farm animal sanctuary was one of many in the path of these fires. However, more important than our building or any material possessions are the farm animals who were in our care during this disaster. We were extremely lucky to evacuate all our animals while the fire was on our property racing towards us.

Now, our animals are at Sweet Farm, an amazing farm animal sanctuary in Half Moon Bay. They generously offered up their help to make room for all our animals to stay in a safe, comfortable space on their farm.

Our animals were very lucky, but many are not. We’re planning to fill our horse trailer starting on Wednesday the 11th here in Half Moon Bay with supplies for evacuated farm animals and deliver them to emergency centers and any areas of immediate need.

This is where you come in. Right now, the best way for you to help is to donate money to buy supplies needed. Charlie’s Acres and Sweet Farm are teaming up to fill our horse trailer with animal supplies like feed and bedding help the animals who were evacuated to emergency shelters. We may also be able to take in some emergency rescues. You can reach us at [email redacted] and [email redacted].

Please donate - any amount helps. Anything achieved over our goal will either be donated directly to support farm animal rescues helping the fire victims or we’ll do multiple runs to get more supplies!
