The Art of the Oboe In Nairobi

I started the first oboe department in Africa in May of 2015 at the Kenya Conservatoire through donations and gifts in kind. There are 3 youth orchestras in Nairobi and an amateur orchestra and no acceptable oboe's nor anyone to teach the students how to play! I taught there for 2 months and it was incredibly successful buy I went quite into debt with the expenses of food, travel, and housing. I refuse to give up! I ran out of oboes, and I already have more to take over. The students were wonderful! I am
committed to returning 3 more times this year to keep
them on track and hopefully getting a Fulbright the year after. Please help me continue to teach these wonderfully gifted students learn to play the most essential wind instrument in the orchestra!
