Peppers Health

I am helping a elderly neighbor of very limited means who is recovering from two strokes to raise funds for her dog Pepper. 

Pepper was having problems eating, so she brought her to the vet for a check up. The vet said she had she had some type of gum disease in the very back of her mouth. Which originally didn't sound to bad, except she cannot have a normal treatment to save her teeth, they found a heart condition that complicates the procedures.  Pepper lost another tooth yesterday and my neighbor is so afraid this will lead to more complications. 

She has taken great care of Pepper despite her low fixed income. Sometimes she goes without, so Pepper can have the treatment she needs.

My neighbor has no family except Pepper, she is her best friend and campanion, especially since her strokes. When she had her first stoke she asked me to "please take Pepper if she couldn't come home, please don't let them take her to a shelter" her only thought was for her dog. She had rescued Pepper about 8 years ago, she told me she was looking for a compaion to love and saw Pepper at the rescue and she knew they were supposed to be together.  Pepper has helped her so much in her recovery from the strokes and in Peppers crazy, mutty, terrier ways, makes her laugh and raises her spirts everyday.

She has reached out to vet services that help with costs but it is still to expensive for her even with their help. Her share of the procedures will run between $900 & $1500. I am trying to raise $2000, so she has a cushion.

When my neighbor talked to me today to ask for my help, she offered to work small jobs to help raise funds for Pepper. I felt so bad for her and Pepper.

I am hoping this is a better way to help her, any dondation will help no matter how small.
