Mariah was born with Hirschsprung's disease (HD) something that not many doctors know about. HD is a disease that causes chronic constipation and inflammation of the colon. Mariah has had enterocolitis a few times in her life that almost cost her to lose her life. She has had more than 20 surgeries to help her thrive. She is now 8 years old and is having more problems than ever. The good thing is is there is a doctor that can and will help her. I, her mother, would have to take time off work and find babysitters for her siblings, and also keep the bills paid while I'm off of work. The doctor that can help is at Cincinnati Children's Colorectal Center. This is about 2400 miles from where we live.
I really need for Mariah to get to this doctor because it is hard seeing her in so much pain everyday and not being able to help her. She has been through so much in her life and I believe she deserves to feel better. I will be thankful for every donation whether big or small, every penny counts.
