MEMORIAL FUND FOR ZACHARY BANKS

November 18th, 2016 - the worst day of our lives. Our beloved Zachary Edward Banks, age 26, was beaten and stabbed to death. In the middle of the road, in front of the UN Plaza in San Francisco a large group of men attacked my son and beat him repeatedly. Although this occurred in an area covered by surveillance cameras we have yet to positively identify the individuals responsible for taking his life.

He was a brother, an uncle, a nephew and a best friend to many..... Anyone who knew Zachary, know as "Frosty" to his friends,  knew that he had a heart of gold. He would give ANYONE his last penny if it meant they would be safe and they would eat. He was the epidomy of Shirt of His Back. He took care of the people around him - he never left anyone behind.

HE DID NOT DESERVE TO DIE! and SO TRAGICALLY

His case is under investigation. We are making painfully SLOW progress. An investigator has been assigned to the case and we are working closely.  I have vowed to spend the rest of my life making sure the individuals responsible for his death and held to justice. The DA has put a very tall order in front of us in order for justice to be served!

As a result of this tragedy our family has suffered significant financial hardship. The expenses are huge. We have had to take a great deal of time off, our travel costs are piling up. We are not prepared to cover these costs on our own.
