Zach and I are thrilled to announce that as of yesterday, we have EXCEEDED our campaign goal! We want to give a huge thank-you to everyone who shared, contributed, and offered their support to this fundraiser… this trip wouldn’t be possible without you, and we are so excited to be able to collaborate in person again!
In order to continue to offer incentives like mp3s, sheet music, and Skype sessions, the fundraiser will remain open until November 1st. Additional donations will go towards improved equipment for recording (cameras, lighting, etc.) as well as exciting props and costumes to be used in the upcoming videos!

Frank and Zach have been composing/performing piano duets on Youtube for the past four years… now they need your help to create more!
About Zach Heyde and Frank Tedesco
After meeting at the Hartt School in 2011, we decided to jam out in a practice room. Both of us were surprised at how quickly we meshed as pianists and improvisers; it felt like we’d been playing together for years!
Later that year, we created our first collaborative piano arrangement: a series of variations on Leroy Anderson’s “Sleigh Ride ”. We wrote and recorded it in two days, and the video quickly gained popularity around the university and on the Internet! Shortly after, Alfred Music invited us to have our arrangement published in their name!
Since then, we've created a total of 8 piano arrangements, including a 15’ two-piano work entitled “The Awakening ”. We’ve worked together to create music for a video game, promotional videos for Hartt, and countless other projects. Most importantly, our professional relationship has been grounded by our deep friendship, and our mutual passion for creating art.
Our Mission
Since our graduation from the Hartt School this year, Zach has remained in Connecticut, while Frank has relocated to Peoria, Arizona. Our ability to collaborate has been heavily restricted by our long distance from each other; piano collaborations are frustrating through video/audio software, as the lag in these softwares prevents playing together in real time.
Because of this problem, we have frequently discussed the idea of reuniting to collaborate on new piano duets. After the holidays, we have a mutual block of free time from January 16th-24th, and want to take advantage of that opportunity. Our goal is to raise $650, primarily to cover Zach's round-trip airfare from Newark to Phoenix, as well as to help pay for our food during the week.
-Flight from Newark, NJ to Phoenix, AZ: approx. $450
-Food for the week: $100
-Gas: $50
-GoFundMe / PayPal Fees: $50 (approx. 8%)
Any additional donations will go towards improved equipment for recording the Youtube videos (cameras, lighting, etc.), as well as exciting props that will be included in the upcoming videos!
Having just graduated, we are both doing what we can to build our savings for future living expenses. Your support helps us to avoid pulling out of those savings, and as a special thank-you we’ve prepared numerous rewards!
