Sharon's medical fund
Donation protected
My sister, Sharon, is 73 years old, lives in Vermont and is dealing with advanced cancer. We are doing everything we can to help her survive this disease, and we believe it is possible! What she needs most right now is someone to provide (she lives at home alone) housekeeping and perhaps other assistance. This would enable her to make the transition to a special diet (ketogenic) that is said to work well for shrinking tumors.
She may be able to get state funding for a caregiver, but right now she has no hot water because her boiler needs repairs. She also owes the heating oil company but has been unable to pay those bills due to the high cost of special medicines. For a caregiver to be able to help her do proper hygiene and keep the house in order, hot water seems pretty essential.
Sharon worked many years as a devoted caregiver for a quadriplegic man, and we feel it's time for her to receive the help she needs.
If we raise more than what is needed for the boiler repairs and oil bill, the excess will go toward paying for medicine (which costs $30-$40 per day and is going on a credit card). Any amount you can contribute will be greatly appreciated!
