Hello Everyone!
We are the Gallaga family and this is our story about the struggle to make our family whole.
We are a happily married couple whose greatest desire is to start a family. We have been married since 2010 and since that very first year have tried to get pregnant. That year I also had to visit the emergency room due to abdominal pain. After many tests the doctors notified me about a large cyst next to my right ovary. They suggested immediate surgery to remove the cyst. Thankfully, I recovered from surgery. Unfortunately, two years after we were still unable to have a child.
In 2012 I visited my doctor for further tests in regard to my fertility difficulties. I was diagnosed with an infection called Hydrosalpinx, which I was told resulted from the previous surgery. Hydrosalpinx is an infection in the fallopian tubes and builds up fluid that prevents fertilization. My diagnosis means we cannot conceive naturally and we need to get an IVF treatment. These test results were extremely depressing and very hard to overcome.
We are currently attending college and working hard toward our dreams, but the price of IVF is nowhere near realistic for a young couple like us. Many of you who are familiar with our situation know about the amount of stress this has caused us. It took a lot of courage to create this GoFundMe and make our struggle public.
To our friends and those we haven’t had the opportunity to meet, we are asking for your help from the bottom of our hearts. Having a child is one of the happiest events in a person's life. We just want the same opportunity to have such a wonderful thing happened for us.
