Edward Zindle III was my brother. He was 40 years old when he died, leaving behind his wife Joanne and five children - Melanie 17, Draven 14, Phoenix 10, Ethan 9 and Arthur 7.
Eddie was the oldest of three children (including me and my younger brother TJ) and he was just the coolest - one of the most gentle, humble, funny and totally unique individuals I've ever met. His death is a shock and a huge loss to all of us.
My sister-in-law Joanne has been unable to work for a long time because of ongoing medical issues so Ed was the backbone of the family's financial support. While he was alive they were barely scraping by, but now that he's gone they need our help. Eddie died of a sudden and massive heart attack before his life insurance was of any value.
TJ and I are asking everyone who loved Eddie, his family, and those of you who love us - even if you've never met our brother - to help our family through this time.
The most practical and tangible thing they need right now is a safe vehicle to travel in. A minivan that can accommodate all of the kids seems to be the best answer. We'd like to help them find a used one that has been well-taken care of and is low in mileage so that it will last a long time.
The Zindles have an old cargo van that is riddled with problems and unsafe for the children, as it doesn't even have any seats in the back. So these kids have not been out all summer, simply because they don't have a vehicle to go anywhere. Hospital, funeral and other related expenses have been yet another burden to bear - this family needs every bit of help we can offer!
Thank you so much for your love and support during this very difficult time!
