Chiari Malformation

My eldest daughter Nicole has recently been diagnosed with Chiari Malformation type 1 which presents with Idiopathic Intracranial Hypertension which then has left her with Pilateral Papillodema which effects with her optic nerves in her eyes. This explains all the extremely painful headaches, short term blindness, short term hearing loss, falls from being off balance, vomiting, slurred speech and just lately seizures. Nicole has spend time in hospital trying to control symptoms and the pain. We where blessed with information with a wonderfull professor or neurosurgery and head of neurosurgery at Macquarie University in Sydney Dr Stoodley who has fitted her in to see him on the 4th of August 2017. Nicole lives in Brisbane and due to her condition is unable to work, as a family we have pulled together and all the treatments that Nicole needs is not covered by Medicare and the MRI scans are not covered either.
