We Love Katie
Donation protected
Our dear friend Katie Loeb — award-winning, internationally acclaimed cocktail creator, matriarch of the Philly foodie scene, mistress of witty repartee, devoted animal lover, caring friend to multitudes, social connector responsible for hundreds of long friendships and at least one marriage — is in hospice. She fought her battle with cancer with everything she had, with a smile on her determined face.
Katie was always willing to lend her expertise to support a fundraising event, recommend a restaurant in any city, or suggest a wine to pair with Uzbek food.
Just as Katie helped all her friends get through breakups, career disappointments, social faux pas and novice-chef jitters, we want to help her by resolving her bills and covering funeral expenses.
So many of Katie’s friends have asked us how they can be of assistance. If you can help Katie tie up her loose ends, here is a way to contribute.
Because Katie is no longer able to withdraw the funds, the beneficiary of this campaign is listed as her cousin Antonio Arroyo, who has power of attorney.
Katie loved life and loved all her many friends. Her light burned brightly, and she will be a part of us forever.
Anything raised in excess of the amount we need to meet Katie’s expenses will be donated to the hospice that has taken such wonderful care of her and to PAWS animal shelter.
