Elizabeth’s Service Dog

Hi I'm Elizabeth. l've been a Type one diabetic for 15 years. I have done advocacy work with Breakthrough T1D (formerly JDRF) since I was diagnosed at 4 years old. I'm 19 and in college studying forestry and starting off in the work force. Outside of school I hike and spend a lot of time outdoors. Since I spend a lot of my time outdoors as well as living on my own I'd like to get a diabetic alert dog for some extra security and companionship on my type one journey. Having more support and resources in case of an emergency can make a big difference as a diabetic especially in a rural environment or even just walking around campus without anyone who knows type one.
