Hurricane Patricia Water Angels

Hurricane Patricia missed the major resort areas surrounding Puerto Vallarta but impacted coastal communities to the south and inland communities to the east in the Sierra Madre mountains.  Many of these people do not have access to potable water and tremendous efforts are being made to bring aid on all levels.

I am a long term resident of Mexico and we created Proyecto Agua Limpia Mexico to bring clean, safe drinking water solutions to rural communities who do not have access to potable water.  For over 2 years I have been working with Rotary International Clubs to distribute water filters to communities surrounding Puerto Vallarta.  Sawyer Water Filters provide a phenomenal solution. They remove 99.999% of harmful bacteria including salmonela, cholera and E coli.  They also remove 99.999% of protozoa such giardia and cryptosporidium.  With regular cleaning, they can provide up to 1 million gallons of clean drinking water.  

Today we have an emergency situation and a  great need to help people affected by Patricia.  In conjuction with the non profit foundation - Fundacion Ahora es Tiempo De Dar A.C. we are seeking donations to purchase Sawyer Water Filters which we will distribute to many, many people in need.  The city of Mascota, Jalisco has asked for 150 filters and the list keeps growing.  

These filters can save lives so please help us to get clean, safe drinking water to the people affected by Hurricane Patricia as quickly as possible!  Any amount of donation will go towards a water filter....
