Camp Shiloh is a federal non-profit organization that is available for any family, group of young people or adults that want a respite from the business of everyday life . The lodge is nestled in northern New Hampshire - 15 miles as the crow flies from the Presidential Range. The views are truly spectacular and the seclusion is just what the doctor ordered!
Though the lodge is available for everyone, the mission of this Christian retreat center is to help provide families and church youth groups a place to grow and develop young people in Jesus Christ, but at the same time while having a blast! There is a rifle range, 40 foot climbing tower, archery, volley ball net, basketball hoop, ping pong tables, walking trails, private mile-long road for jogging, sledding hills, campfire pit, loads of woods and field play areas, river rafting, hiking and swimming - not to mention delicious and nutritious meals and fun snacks, a dorm for girls, and a dorm for boys (maximum 32 people). In the winter, you'd be right in the midst of some of the greatest skiing available in the north country. Oh, and Santa's Village - one of the largest and most modern amusement parks in New Hampshire - is our neighbor, less than 5 minutes away, literally down the road :)
Camp Shiloh is also available for folks who just want to rest and enjoy a great time.
The lodge is family-owned. The purpose of this fund-raiser is to help us meet the huge expenses of taxes and insurance, maintenance and expansion.
The money will be used to pay back taxes ($25,000) and insurance ($15,000), plus $10,000 for maintenance on the property and for expansion.
The purpose of this fundraiser is to keep Camp Shiloh up and running for repeat customers and new customers, alike.
Your dollars, no matter what amount, will be used very conservatively, and each dollar will be stretched as far as it can possibly go. We need the funds soon, in order to at least make a good faith deposit on the back taxes. This will enable us to keep the lodge open for business :)
And keeping Camp Shiloh open for business is what we are all about. It isn't for financial gain that we seek your precious dollars. Camp Shiloh has been open since 1983. We've seen hard times before, but never like this. We want to keep this youth ministry alive, but we also want to make Camp Shiloh available for everyone.
