Dan and Jeri Roland barn fire

During the early hours on March 16, 2017, Dan and Jeri Roland were awakened by the sirens of the fire department responding to the fire that totally destroyed their barn, killing 9 of the 10 horses that were inside.  Making this loss even worse, a mare with a 2 day old colt perished in the horrendous fire, plus two pregnant mares that were due to foal this week.

We, in the harness racing community, are heartbroken.  While we know that we can not replace the horses that were lost, we hope to be able to help with the expenses, known and unknown, that the Roland's are going to encounter.

Offers of supplies have been coming in to the family, but as of right now, they have no place to put any of the generously offered items.  The best way to help is by donations, no matter the size.  Your donation will make a huge difference... a water bucket costs $15, a feed tub $36, a set of harness $500 or a new jog cart $1200.  These are just a few of the expenses that they are going to have to cover on their own.
