Hurricane Harvey Animal Victims TX

A horrific tragedy struck Houston and surrounding areas this past week: Hurricane Harvey. Here is your chance to make a difference for innocent animal lives. Your donation will go towards helping the helpless. K9Kare rescue is raising funds to assist over 300 animals at Bayou Animal Services (BAS) shelter of Dickinson, Texas. The staff selflessly stayed at the shelter during the storm and turned no lives away. Some of the animals have atrocious stories of abandonment in the BAS parking lot as their families evacuated and left them behind. Some of them were left tied up with chains in the storm. None of the animals deserved to be alone in the terrible conditions outside. The staff at BAS endured extreme conditions to bring the animals in and care for them through the storm, and the work continues. Over 200 dogs and over 115 cats currently. Help is needed. BAS doesn't turn their back on these animals and they NEED US NOW MORE THAN EVER. Please send what you can to help with the following: additional crates, medical care, vaccines, flea prevention, food, fencing, etc the list goes on. You wouldn't believe what goes into this. The vetting for these animals will be thousands of dollars, and equipping this shelter with items needed to care for this many lives will be thousands of dollars.Your donation is tax deductible and WILL make a difference.
