Help Iden Get Surgery He Needs- FTM
My name is Iden. On April 3rd I went to NYC from Baltimore with my boyfriend and my best friend to finally get a top surgery consultation after canceling 3 other appointments. I walked out mentally destroyed, as my insurance had unexpectedly dropped me just 3 days previously. I am 21. I have been on testosterone since November. As of right now, I have no insurance. I am on thyroid medication, and medication to help with PTSD and anxiety disorders, as well as my testosterone. Me and my family are paying out of pocket until my insurance is sorted out. It could be months. A consultation is not an easy thing to book. I booked my consultation 6 months prior to the date I was sent back to Baltimore crying- and 8 hour round trip that drained my bank account. It could take more than a year with the wait for a consultation, the wait for my insurance, and the wait for a surgery date. I bind at least 12 hours a day currently. This is extremely unhealthy, and addition to this being unhealthy in general, I do have severe scoliosis. The thought of continuing to bind for another year drags me down. I feel hopeless. I feel like I should just give up on my transition. But you can help. Every donation I receive on this website, as well as my Youcaring, will go first and foremost towards my surgery. My ribs and spine are already deformed, and I don't want to put myself through this mentally or physically any longer. Please consider donating to, or sharing this and/or my Youcaring. I'm desperate to get this surgery over with so I can finally live my life without pain, and disgust for my own body. My Youcaring campaign is called "Fund Iden's Transition".
