Team USA was a huge success at the Freestyle Kayak World Championships in Columbus, Georgia in 2023. A huge congratulations to reigning World Champions - Dane Jackson, Landon Miller, MakinleyKate Hargrove, Rose Wall, Seth Chappell, Taft Sibley,; Silver Medalist - Andy Grizzell, Dane Jackson; and Bronze Medalists - Clay Wright, Eleanor Knight, Emily Jackson and Landon Miller. This year, the Freestyle Kayak World Championships will be held in Plattling, Germany. Let’s make sure our athletes have all of the support they need to perform their best in 2025!

Did you know that the athletes in freestyle kayaking are 100% self-funded, which means that once they achieve the honor of qualifying for the team to represent the United States of America at the World Championships, they are faced with the financial challenge of paying for all of their own expenses including: entry fees, uniforms, flights, hotel/camping, meals, etc. which averages approximately $3000 per athlete. You can buy a uniform for an athlete for $100 or pay an entry fee for $250. But really, every single dollar makes a difference for these athletes. Your $5, 10, or 20 donation adds up to help these athletes focus on what they do best...kayaking and bringing home the gold!

For the 145th anniversary of the American Canoe Association, we are kicking off and initiative we call Story Project. Story Project is a chance to remember, share, and celebrate the people and moments that make paddling great by publishing Stories for a month, with the culmination being on August 3rd, the day the ACA was founded 145 years ago. Our hope is that you read the stories, it brings a smile to your face, and if you are able or willing, you give back to paddlesports either through a donation or your time.
