Bark from the Heart Rescue

Please help me save this little 7lb Maltese mix. Bark from the Heart Rescue is raising money to benefit Bronny, Donations of any size will help make an impact on this pups life.  

Bronny is from a pet store. He is a very tiny dog. This dog was sold to a family with 4 young children. A small dog like this is very delicate,  this dog should not be treated as a toy. This is an example of a pet store eager to get their $4,000 and not care that this was not the right fit.

The kids loved Bronny, but kids will be kids. One of the kids tripped and fell down the stairs and Bronny fell too. His leg is severely broken. He is just 9 months old.

The family brought Bronny to the vet, but were very upset with the cost of surgery, yet could afford the $4,000 price tag. How could someone not care, how painful is a broken leg? Reality is, this very small dog is not the right fit for a family with so many kids.  Bronny was fortunate to meet a very wonderful friend, the friend was worried about Bronny. When she saw that this dog was not the right fit for this family she offered to help this young pup. She brought him to our rescue and somehow we need to raise funding for this surgery by Tuesday.

In addition to the broken leg Bronny has whats described as two set of teeth. The adult teeth are not lined up with the baby teeth, so they are not pushing those teeth out. How can this be on a $4,000 well bred dog. It can't be, this dog is not well bred, its puppy mill. That is what happens with pet stores today, hopefully America will change.

One final note, yes the yellow color on Bronny may be pee staining on the whole lower half of the dog. This is such a sad case of a family not treating this small pup with tender loving care.

Please please help us fund surgery for Bronny. He has such a happy, strong spirit. He deserves a long, happy life!

Please help us make a difference in not only the life of Bichon Lucy Allaman, but her owner Anne Allaman and a small Bichon named after Anne Allaman - we named her Annie. Today has been such a difficult day for all three.
Bark from the Heart Rescue has been around over 10 years. Anne Allaman has been my backbone and mentor when it comes to passion about dogs. Anne adopted all 4 dogs pictured from me, she taught me to follow my passion, keep fighting and I can save more dogs. There are many days where rescue seems hopeless, this is one of them.
Anne Allaman herself has a Go Fund Me - she has a rare disease called PSP - Progressive Supranuclear Palsy. Its like Parkinson's, but faster and more serious. This past 6 months has been horrible for Anne, she no longer can communicate to us and can not get out of her bed. Her dogs have been her lifeline. Beau passed away prior to this fight, but the other 3 have been there, until last month.... Marty passed away suffering from seizures. Now there is just Henry and Lucy, and shockingly Lucy has become ill. It seems impossible. Anne said to me, I am suppose to pass before my dogs do. It's extremely sad, Im not sure what is going to happen next. Anne has taken a very serious turn for the worse in the last couple days. 
On Friday Lucy had not eaten in 4 days and was throwing up. We brought her to Boone Animal Hospital and they reported she was off the charts in regards to diabetes. I said diabetes? Her bloodwork was perfect just a few month ago, she didn't have diabetes. Well now she does and her blood sugar was over 650 (650 is where the computer stops, she should be 150). Boone sent me to Arborteum View VCA Animal Hospital for 24 hour watch. This is Monday Night, Lucy is slowly getting back to normal but still there. She will be diabetic if she gets through this, but I can make that work! I need to save her and bring her back to Anne Allaman. Unfortunately my funding for emergency care runs out in the morning and anyone that has been through this knows they don't continue work without funds. I need at least 3 more days at approximately $2,000 a day.
In addition to Lucy the story goes on for my rescue. Last week we took a small stray Bichon into Bark from the Heart and Cynthia from The Barker Shop saw her and said - let's name her Annie, if Anne Allaman was well she would adopt her! So we did, we named her Annie! Today we brought Annie to the vet for a look over, more sad news - Annie is Heartworm positive and in heat! Heartworm treatment takes months and can run a couple thousand dollars. So not only do I need to save Lucy, I need to save Annie. Anne Allaman was such a dog rescue advocate, its the one thing I owe her for helping my rescue for years,  is to save her own dogs. Please Please help me help this horrible situation.
In addition to financial support I need to find fosters for both Lucy and Annie. I would love to put Lucy with a foster thats comfortable with diabetes for a couple weeks before she goes home. I also will need one for Annie, rest and relaxation is critical during heartworm treatment.

Please help our rescue save a family of four! These 4 yorkie mix dogs were abandoned in their home. We dont know the details of the owner (maybe a senior admitted into a hospital),  the dogs were left alone in horrible conditions in the home for days. There was a 5th dog that was found in the home passed away, covered in maggots. So sad - for both the dogs and the owner.  We want to help these dogs - they need to be spayed and neutered, vaccinated, ear infections treated, groomed (they were extremely long and matted when found - pics shows them with a preliminary cleanup cut), one dog has cherry eye and needs surgery, and one dog needs 5 teeth removed. We want to board them at The Barker Shop, make them healthy and we will need to potty train them. They are super sweet and need this chance for a new start.  We are also looking for volunteers to come to The Barker Shop to help them get used to people over the next couple weeks. They are sweet, just afraid, possibly being out of their home for the first time, everything is new to them. The Barker Shop is at 1404 W 55th Street in LaGrange IL.

Please help us fund heart surgery for Grandpa Rossy. Bark from the Heart Rescue and Gale Tlapa want to give Rossy more than 6 more months to live. Gale is one of Bark from the Heart's very extra special volunteers, she not only donates time to be with our dogs a few times a week, but she has has adopted 4 senior dogs from us. Just days after Gale had made a decision to provide Rossi with a furever home, he was diagnosed with PDA (Patent ductus arteriosus), in other words a heart valve that is not working correctly. Without the surgery this guy has less than 6 months - with surgery he could live out a normal life, and the percentage of success is excellent.
Rossy is a spirited, happy, full of love terrier mix. At this time you would not know he is sick unless you listen to his rapid heart beat. We are so thankful we found the problem and found a solution. That's what Bark from the Heart is here for - to help this cute little guy have a complete life. We think Rossi is about 5 years old - he has another 10 years to live if we help him. Gale, an experienced senior dog owner, has volunteered for Bark from the Heart for years, passionately committed to helping rescues and ready to give this guy an amazing home. This will be the fourth dog she has adopted from us - it all began with Star (a senior Pit), Sunny Boy (a senior Brussels Griffon with multiple health issues) and Cassie (a senior beagle mix with all your typical seniors traits - part blind, deaf and confused). 
We would love to schedule surgery as soon as possible - please help Gale and Grandpa Rossy head out to Veternary Speciality Center  (as they say "the specialists in Buffalo Grove) and have the chance of a lifetime! We love you Grandpa Rossy.
