If there is anything I have learned in my years of teaching, it is that through learning piano, students often learn many life skills. Students learn dedication. Students learn persistence and patience. Perhaps most of all, through performance, students learn the importance of community.
In these difficult days, the importance of giving back to the community is emphasized now more than ever. That is why I have decided to join my students in a virtual recital to benefit COVID-19 relief on Saturday, May 2nd from 4:00-6:00 pm. Around this time of year, my students often participate in recitals and contests where they are joined by their families and friends. This may be difficult for many families right now. So, please join me in celebrating the achievements of these wonderful students while raising money for a good cause.
Please join me in donating to the Massachusetts COVID-19 Relief Fund , which helps frontline healthcare professionals, first responders, and families in need. This fund is administered through the Boston Foundation. To donate, please use this page so that students and families can see how much we have raised. Thank you to all who are able to donate. The recital will be conducted via Zoom on May 2nd, 2020 at 4:00pm. Participants will receive a Zoom link with instructions on how to join. The recital will also be live-streamed on my Facebook page for those who are interested in watching: https://www.facebook.com/yelena.gridneva
