More information about California Fire Foundation: The California Fire Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, provides emotional and financial assistance to victims of wildfire or natural disaster. Formed in 1987 by California Professional Firefighters, the California Fire Foundation's mandate includes an array of survivor and victim assistance projects and community initiatives. One way this foundation helps is through a program called SAVE. SAVE stands for Supplying Aid to Victims of Emergency. The California Fire Foundation provides $250 gift cards (SAVE cards) to participating fire departments that are given to victims of fire and natural disaster so they can purchase basic necessities (food, clothing, medicine, etc.). The SAVE program has grown steadily since 2014 and has impacted more than 55,000 victims in California to date. The SAVE program is administered directly by participating fire departments across California each day, and mobilizes for rapid disaster relief when communities are impacted by wildfire or natural disasters. The SAVE program is a reliable way for Foundation supporters to provide direct relief to victims, especially in the first 24-48 hours after a disaster.

Thank you in advance for your contribution to this cause that means so much to so many impacted by California's most destructive and deadly wildfire season on record. It's a cause close to many members of the DesignCon community, with some of our long-time attendees and exhibitors personally impacted by the 2018 wildfires.

DesignCon appreciates your help and will match up to $3,000 in donations made by January 31, 2019, through this campaign. We’ll announce the final tally on the DesignCon website in early February.

KHOP is raising money to help those affected by the recent fires in California.  All money donated goes to the California Fire Foundation.

The first 1,000 donations of $10 or more will receive a KHOP 2019 First Responders Calendar (available for pick up at KHOP studios starting Nov. 26th or at calendar release party with donation receipt)

*California Fire Foundation: This organization is on the ground distributing financial assistance to people who have lost everything in the fires. Through its emergency assistance program, firefighters distribute pre-paid gift cards to help those who need to purchase necessities like food, medicine and clothing.
