In Loving Memory of Komos Araya Tesfay / መዘከርታ ኣቦና ቆሞስ ኣርኣያ ተስፋይ

ኣቦና ቆሞስ ኣርኣያ ብሕማም ምኽንያት ኣብ ሆስፒታል ደንቨር ከሎራዳ ዘድሊ ሕክምናን ክንክንን ክገብረሎም ብድሕሪ ምጽናሕ ብዓርቢ ዕለት 25 ታሕሳስ 2020 ዓ/ም/ ብክብርቲ በዓልቲ ቤቶም ወ/ሮ ዓለስ ደበሳይን ደቆምን ደቂ ደቆምን ተሰንዮም ብሰላም ዓሪፊኦም።

ብ 1954 ዓም ብብጹዕ ኣቡነ ማርቆስ ጳጳስ ናይ ኤርትራ ኣብ ቅድስተ ማርያም ኣዲስ ኣበባ ማዓርግ ክህነት ተባረኹ። ቀጺሎም ዕለታዊ ናብርኦምን ሓዳሮምን እንዳ ኣካይዱ ኣብ ዓዶም ቤተ ክርስቲያን ቅድስት ማርያም ብኣገልግሎት ግብረ-ክህነት ክሳብ 1970 ዓ/ም/ፈ ን17 ዓመታት ኣገልገሉ።

ብ1970 ዓ/ ም/ፈ ናብ ከተማ ኣስመራ ብምኻድ ድማ ኣብዚ ሎሚ ደብረ ገነት ኪዳነ ምህረት ፐራዲዞ ዝበሃል ዘሎ ቤተ-ክርስቲያን ምዱብ ኣገልግሎቶም ጀመሩ። ሓድሽ ህንጻ ቤተ- ክርስቲያን ንምስራሕ ከኣ ምስ ብጾቶም ካህናት ኮይኖም ልዑል ኣበርክቶ ገብሩ። ፈቖዶ ኣብያተ ክርስቲያን እንዳኸዱ ሓግዞና ብምባል ንኪዳነ ምሕረት ቤተ ክርስቲያን ማይ ተመናይ ኣስመራ ኣህኒጾም ኣባል ሰበኻ ጉባኤን ምዱብ ካህንን ኮይኖም ን 23 ዓመታት ኣገልገሉ።

ብድሕሪ እዚ ብሰናይ ድልየት ህዝበ ክርስቲያን ነበርቲ ከተማ ኒውዮርክን ከባባቢኣን ካህን ክለኣኸሎም ብዝሓተትዎ ጠለብ መሰረት ብቡራኼ ብጹዕ ኣቡነ ፊሊጶስ ጳጳስ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ኤርትራ ተመርቖም፡ ብኣፍልጦ ግዜያዊ መንግስቲ ኤርትራ ታቦት ቅዱስ ገብሪኤል ሒዞም ኣብ ሓምለ 1993 ዓ/ም/ፈ ኣብ ከተማ ኒውዮርክ ኣተዉ። እዚ ከኣ ብድሕሪ ነጻነት ሃገረ ኤርትራ ቦኽሪ መንፈሳዊ ልኡኽን ናይ መጀመርያ ታቦት ኣብ ኣብ ሕቡራት መንግስታት ኣመሪካ ኮይና ኣብ ታሪኽተዋሕዶ ቤተ ክርስቲያን ተመዝጊቡ ይርከብ።

እዚ ሓገዝ ብሽም ኣቦና ቆሞስ ኣርኣያ ተስፋይ ኣብ ዝመጽ ጊዜ ንዝስራሕ ፕሮጀከት ክኸውን አዩ። እዚ ፕሮጀክት ብኤርትራ ኦርቶዶክስ ተዋህዶ ሃገረ-ስብከት ሰሜን ኣሜርካ ተማእኪሉ፡  ምስ ቀረባ ስድራቤት ኣቦና ብምምይያጥ ዝፍጸም ፕሮጀክት ስለዝኾነ ሓገዝኩም ኣይፍለየና።

On Friday, December 25, 2020, the beloved Hegumen (komos) Araya Tesfay departed to be with the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 87. Right after Eritrea declared independence in 1993, Hegumen Araya was the first priest to be sent oversea by Patriarch Philipos to serve in the USA and he was the priest of St. Gabriel Church of New York for 27 years.
