Food for Others

Hello everyone,

My name is Nadia and I’m a rising 8th grader who’s trying to raise funds for a local food pantry here in Fairfax, VA called Food for Others. Their mission is to distribute food to our neighbors in need by mobilizing our giving community and volunteers. Right now because of Covid-19, Food for Others has experienced a drop in donations. The purpose of this fundraiser is to support this organization that has seen an increase in food request as a result of the pandemic. 

My goal is to raise $500 (or more), and the highest bidder will receive my very own abstract painting seen here. This painting was done specifically for this purpose and it will make for a great conversation piece in your home. :-)

I am running 5 marathons in 5 weeks to raise money for some of those hardest hit by Covid-19. I will be running 26.2 miles on May 24th, June 7th, June 12th, June 20th and June 24th. All money raised will go straight to Food for Others, Inc.

Our Bailey's community has been hit hard by the pandemic and associated job loss. The PTA is looking for ways to support the community and those organizations which provide food for our students. In lieu of our annual luncheon for staff for Teacher Appreciation Week, the Bailey's PTA is sponsoring a fundraiser for Food for Others, to be presented as a donation on behalf of the Bailey's Elementary and Bailey's Upper Elementary staff.  Your contribution will help us assist the Food for Others mission to feed Bailey's families in need at this time.
