2024 Grafton Food Bank Annual Appeal
Thank you for visiting the 2024 Grafton Food Bank (GFB) Annual Appeal page. We appreciate your support of this important mission to assist Grafton residents in need of food relief. We are honored to celebrate our 31st year of operating as a 100% volunteer run, registered non-profit organization in the town of Grafton.
After over three years of tremendous challenges, change and growth during the COVID-19 pandemic, the GFB closed out 2023 and its 30th anniversary with the launch of a delivery service program. After many months of careful planning and due diligence, the delivery service program was launched in October 2023 to best meet the needs of our guests who are physically unable to come to the Food Bank.
In an effort to raise awareness about how the GFB operates and why your support is needed and so appreciated, we invite you to learn a few facts about the GFB below.
- Did you know the Grafton Food Bank consistently serves over 150 individuals/families total between our two distributions each month, and has over 200 families registered for assistance?
- Did you know in 2023 the GFB provided food items equating to approx 75,000 meals?
- Did you know the GFB is serving more individuals/families than during the height of the pandemic, but donations have steadily declined since 2022? We need your help!
- Did you know the Grafton Food Bank has five community partnerships to meet the needs of our guests, and their pets, and help maintain low overhead costs for the organization? They include: The Community Harvest Project, Worcester County Food Bank, Hope & Comfort, Dignity Matters and Pawsitive Pet Pantry.
- Did you know the GFB fills over 70 volunteer slots per month to handle the operational tasks necessary to keep the GFB running smoothly?
- Did you know our volunteers donate approximately 190 hours total each month?
The Increased Need in Grafton Continues.
The GFB is providing assistance to a record number of individuals and families, with the expectation to see an even greater increase in families needing assistance due to the continued long term impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic and rising food costs. Your contribution to the GFB Annual Appeal will immediately help decrease food insecurity for friends, neighbors and a growing number of Grafton families in need. No donation is too small and every dollar raised has a direct impact on those in need. Our commitment to fulfilling the mission of the GFB is unwavering and we thank you in advance for your support.
