Help empower aspiring women writers to master their craft
The Garden of Neuro Institute is a community for, of, and by women. Started in 2020, the Garden is the brainchild of Susan Brearley, whose life goal is to empower women everywhere with agency and freedom.
As part of this charter, the Garden is hosting an exclusive 2-day writing retreat in October 2024.
We seek your financial support to sponsor about 200 young women writers or students interested in a career in writing to attend the retreat. This workshop has the potential to change the trajectory of their lives.
Help us achieve this goal by contributing generously. Each contribution, big or small, will allow more women to attend and learn from experts in the art and craft of writing.

Our carefully curated faculty of best-selling authors, award-winning poets, cartoonists, and industry professionals will ensure that women at all stages of their writing journey will find the guidance and inspiration they need.
Programs already underway at the Garden include:
• Writing to be Read - a 2-day hands-on writing workshop
• Development of the Women’s Leadership Institute curriculum
• Kitchen Table Talks – Deliberative live global conversations that help women find common ground and new understanding about key community-building topics and practices
• Free workshops in voice development through healing prose and poetry writing
• Free workshops hosted by members who are developing agency and leadership skills
• Workshops for goal setting, organizational and communications skill development, and business development.
• Technology skill-building workshops and practical application.
• Human systems development and design workshops.
• Curated One Mind book club designed for the expansion of women’s mindset, skill development and inner wisdom, and decision-making and negotiating skills.
• Art and meditation workshops for creative voice expression
• Open mic readings for building public speaking confidence
• Coaching and mentoring sessions one-on-one for skills transfer and building agency and leadership confidence
• A publishing company and a retail online business for awareness of and incubation of practical business skills and development of financial independence
