The Houston Apollos Wheelchair Lacrosse team provides adaptive lacrosse opportunities to the Houston area.

Our team is traveling to Pittsburgh this August to compete in the Wheelchair Lacrosse National Tournament. We need help to get there! Contributions assist us with flights, hotels, ground transportation, and expenses associated with traveling with sports chairs, everyday wheelchairs, and tons of lacrosse gear.

It would not be possible to participate in this sport that we love without the help from the community! Thank you for your support!

The Houston Apollos Wheelchair Lacrosse team is competing in the national tournament in Milwaukee, WI this August. We need help to get there! Our goal is to win the A division after becoming B division national champions in 2023! Funding helps us with flights, hotels, vans, and other expenses. We are bringing a dozen athletes, personal wheelchair, sports wheelchairs, and a ton of lacrosse gear. We are 100% volunteer run, charge nothing, and provide all equipment and opportunities! Recently we started a youth program, a recreational program, a Dallas team, and have hosted tournaments, clinics, and practices all for the goal of creating access for the sport of lacrosse for all who want to play. We will be traveling to Denver, Colorado, competing in the Wheelchair Lacrosse Nationals Tournament on August 26-27! We need your help getting there; donations help us cover significant expenses such as air travel, lodging, and ground transportation to move equipment and wheelchairs and provide a safe and meaningful experience for our players.

Houston Apollos Wheelchair Lacrosse is an adaptive sports program that services the Houston Area by providing access to the sport of lacrosse to persons in the disability community.

Our purpose is to provide an accessible version of the game to anyone who wants to play it. Wheelchair lacrosse is a full-contact sport that provides an excellent opportunity for persons with disabilities to participate in vigorous exercise and competitive play. We are the first wheelchair lacrosse program in the state of Texas. We started our program five years ago with just the idea of bringing another option for athleticism to the adaptive sports community. We have since built our program to provide weekly practices, games, clinics, and volunteer opportunities to anyone interested in participating in this community.

Help us get to Nationals!

Houston Adaptive Sports Club will be helping the Houston Apollos raise funds to travel to Milwaukee, WI June 24 for the "Big Cheese Classic" and to Buffalo, NY August 25 for the Nationals Tournament.

Last year your generousity provided us the resources to send our team to its first out of state tournament where we placed 2nd in the B division! Since then we have worked tirelessly to improve our team and to share this sport with others. We have put on clinics in Dallas and San Antonio, started a youth program, participated in weekly practices, and volunteered in events to promote access adaptive sports and recreation to all.

Your support will allow new and returning players the opportunity to compete with teams from around the country. Contributions will cover flights, hotels, transportation and team registration. Help as you can. But make sure you watch us! We are going to do great things!
